The Dyatlov Pass incident resulted in the deaths of nine ski hikers in the northern Ural Mountains on the night of February 2, 1959.
The lack of eyewitnesses has inspired much speculation. Soviet investigators determined only that “an unknown force” had caused the deaths. Their clothing, when tested, was found to be highly radioactive.
One of the peculiarities of the scene was that their tent had been torn open from the inside, the hikers fleeing out into the sub zero temperatures without even shoes.
Some of the bodies found had damage similar to that of a car accident, but only internally. Their skin on the outside was unharmed.
Other of the young hikers’ faces had aged, hair even grey. One girl’s tongue was missing.
The Dyatlov Pass Incident is actually a really, really good scientific exercise (ignore the stupid history channel alien shots). All of the above bizarre observations are true, this event really happened.
If you’d like to challenge your mind, try to answer how these people died, and were found in the condition that they were in. Within the scope of the natural, non-alien world of course. Such an answer does exist, involving forensics, internal medicine, and environmental clues. Think carefully. Then look it up on google and pretend you’re a smart ass :P
